PIR Sandwich Roof Panel

Polyisocyanurate also referred to as PIR, polyiso, or ISO, is a thermoset plastic typically produced as a foam and used as rigid thermal insulation. The starting materials are similar to those used in polyurethane (PUR) except that the proportion of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) is higher and a polyester-derived polyol is used in the reaction instead of a polyether polyol. The resulting chemical structure is significantly different, with the isocyanate groups on the MDI trimerising to form isocyanurate groups which the polyols link together, giving a complex polymeric structure.

PIR is typically produced as a foam and used as rigid thermal insulation. Its thermal conductivity has a typical value of 0.16 BTU·in/(hr·ft2·°F) (0.023 W/(m·K)) depending on the perimeter: area ratio.

PIR sandwich roof panel or Polyisocyanurate sandwich roof panel with Polyisocyanurate foam cores meet the strictest heat insulation requirements, while also complying with the required insulation properties and maintaining a good bearing capacity.

Characteristics

PIR sandwich roof panel or Polyisocyanurate sandwich roof panel with Polyisocyanurate foam cores meet the strictest heat insulation requirements, while also complying with the required insulation properties and maintaining a good bearing capacity.

 High fire resistance

 Vertical or horizontal installation

 Standard lengths are from 2 m to 10 m (max. 12 m)

 Thickness of insulation core 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, and 200 mm

Application

PIR sandwich roof panel or Polyisocyanurate sandwich roof panel are applied as external walls and internal division walls, installed vertically or horizontally on single or multi-span structure. Such as Industrial buildings, Steel frame structure buildings, Storehouses, and logistic centers, Commercial buildings and offices, Fire Rated Buildings, Agricultural objects, Sports halls, Logistics centers.

Description

PIR sandwich roof panel or Polyisocyanurate sandwich roof panel are composed of 3 layers, the external and internal are two coated Galvanized or Aluminum corrugated plates, and core high-density polyisocyanurate foam. Thanks to their properties the panels may be applied in the object that requires very high fire resistance, PIR sandwich panel is the most effective acoustic materials used in construction.

Take the 50 mm thick PIR sandwich panel for example and the panel can absorb the sound over 30 DB/m2. Widely used in the steel structure factory building, activities room, roof, wall, air cleanroom ceiling, and partition.
